My holiday in Turkey back in August of 2009; You tell see in the pic above I was getting sunburnt. I was 18 years old and about to go out for a meal with my family. Cannot believe I actually remember that.
So yes moving onto my main topic for today. Doctors. How many times have you contacted your doctors surgery asking for an appointment either for that same day or the following day; if possible? Well, my doctors seem to be a complete and utter joke. I first called them about a problem I had nearly a month ago. It was an urgent matter that needed to be seen by a professional. I didn't want to go to the hospital as it would of been time-wasting for them. So there I am, in my lounge, calling and the receptionist picks up. So I ask her 'Can I book an appointment please?' She says, 'I'm afraid we have no more appointments for today; can we get a doctor to call you back to discuss the matter?' At which I said, 'I'm afraid this cannot be discussed on the phone ma'am. Its an urgent app I need.' The woman then said 'Call back tomorrow.' Now I know if I was a normal person I would have happily called tomorrow, but no, my mum is a receptionist at a docs and she said that the problem I have is urgent and should be seen to asap! So here I am 25 days later; finally able to have got an appointment.
Sorry to dish out my lifestory of my rant about my doctors. But have any of you experienced such utter disgraceful behaviour?
